Shakespeare STAR WARS Readers Theatre

Come hither, and hear the classic story of STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE, but with a slight Shakespearean twist! A one night, readers theatre event at Seraphim Theatre. Friday, June 21st at 7pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm. All general seating. Will have one 15 minute intermission.

What is “readers theatre?” - Readers theatre is a form of live entertainment in which a panel of actors on stage perform with limited set and costumes a production with the help of a script in which they all read/perform from. Readers theatre is like watching voice actors perform but through the lens of a stage production.

Shakespeare STAR WARS? - Yes! Return once more to a galaxy far, far away with this retelling of George Lucas's epic in the style of the immortal Bard of Avon. The saga of a wise space knight, and an evil lord, of a beautiful princess held captive and our young hero coming of age, this retelling abounds with all the valor and villainy of Shakespeare's greatest plays. 'Tis a tale told by fretful Droids, full of faithful Wookies and fearsome Stormtroopers, who miss… pretty much everything.

It is all re-imagined in glorious iambic pentameter, William Shakespeare's Star Wars will astound and edify Rebels and Imperials alike. Zounds! This is the show you have been looking for.
